Gegard Mousasi is expecting to get right back in action after capturing the DREAM Light Heavyweight Championship, as he'll face off against kickboxer Jerome LeBanner on the New Year's Eve Dynamite!!! event in Japan, according to a report from MMAJunkie.com.

In addition to that bout, Mousasi said he's also expecting to return to Strikeforce in February of 2011.

""February," he said. "I'm fighting Mike Kyle in Strikeforce. February ? that's what I heard... you never know how things will go. Maybe I get another [opponent]. But that's the fight that they want. He's a tough opponent. He's already beat the champion (Rafael Cavalcante). But I don't know for sure that I'm fighting him, but most likely it's going to be him."

If he does end up fighting in February, it will be his first fight in the organization since losing the Strikeforce Light Heavyweight Championship to Muhammed "King Mo" Lawal in April.

Penick's Analysis: Mousasi vs. Kyle would make for a good fight in the division at this point, but I'm sure Mousasi would also like to get another crack at "King Mo" down the line as well. Outside of those two names, I'm not sure who else Strikeforce would try to match him up with at this point. A rematch with "Babalu," dependent on the outcome of his fight with Dan Henderson on December 4, wouldn't make much sense, although a fight with Henderson could be very good. But if Henderson wins, he's likely to take on "Feijao" for the title in 2011.
