INDIANAPOLIS -- After the conclusion of UFC 119, UFC president Dana White presided over a short press conference. The highlights:
-- Fight night bonuses of $70,000 were given out to the following fighters: C.B. Dollaway for Submission of the Night, and Fight of the Night to Evan Dunham and Sean Sherk for their controversial decision, as well as Matt Mitrione and Joey Beltran for their brawl. A knockout bonus was not awarded, despite the fact that the main event ended in a knockout.
-- Though Sherk's win was controversial, he held no ill will towards his opponent. The former champ said that he told Dunham, "I could see you being the UFC champ."
-- Melvin Guillard apologized for the performance in his fight, which drew heavy boos from the crowd. He also said that he wants to get back to work next week, getting ready for his next fight.
-- Both hometown favorites, Matt Mitrione and Chris Lytle, said that they were moved by the raucous response from the Indianapolis crowd.
"When I stood there, during the introductions and the crowd was going crazy, that was the best moment of my life, next to my children being born," Mitrione said.
-- Dana White balked at the idea of a weight class for fighters who fall in between the light heavyweight limit of 205 and heavyweight's upper limit of 265 lbs.
-- The attendance at Conseco Fieldhouse was 15,811 with a gate of $1.6 million.
